DAVION COLEMAN'S PORTFOLIO
Davion “Dismoc Le Ma” Coleman is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, creative director, and cultural arts activist based in St. Louis, Missouri. His practice spans visual art, illustration, design, cultural programming, and community engagement, exploring identity, heritage, social justice, resilience, and cultural storytelling.
Dismoc Le Ma’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally through galleries, festivals, live painting, and cultural events. In 2013, he joined RAW: Natural Born Artists and was featured in eleven showcases across eleven cities, later receiving a nomination for RAW’s 2015 Visual Artist of the Year award. His work has also been featured by Adobe and Seagram’s Gin, with Seagram’s showcasing one of his paintings in Miami during Art Basel week.
In 2014, Dismoc Le Ma founded The Kre8ive Shop, an online art gallery and creative platform. His creative projects include Warfroism, a social justice-focused exploration of identity, empowerment, and resilience, and InterMIRRORsection, which examines identity, perception, and cultural narratives.
His practice extends internationally through residencies in Kisumu, Kenya, where he explored African heritage and cultural exchange, and Roatán, Honduras, where he explored ecology, identity, and Indigenous cultural storytelling.
Since 2020, Dismoc Le Ma has served as Cultural Programs Director for Artist Take, creating and managing programs that have provided platforms for more than 65 visual artists, 50 poets, 20 vocalists, and 28 vendors.
He is also an award-winning author and illustrator, recipient of a Royal Dragonfly Award, and creator of two children’s books. Dismoc Le Ma continues to use art and cultural programming as tools for storytelling, connection, and community empowerment.
